Cancellation & Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident in your purchase. This policy explains when and how you can request a refund or cancellation — in plain language, with realistic processing times via Razorpay.

01Overview

This policy applies to purchases made directly through structures-simplified.com via Razorpay. It covers tools (e.g. MTO Generator, STAAD-to-CAD) and ebooks. Training programmes delivered via codingforcivilengineers.com are governed by their own terms (Section 7).

Quick summary. 7-day refund window for tools (before substantial use) and ebooks. Email parishith@structures-simplified.com with your Razorpay Payment ID and reason — we acknowledge within 48 hours and refund within 7–14 business days via the original payment method.

02Refund window — 7 days

We offer a 7-day refund window from the date of purchase for:

  • Tools (e.g. MTO Generator, STAAD-to-CAD) — provided the tool has not been put to substantial use on a real engineering project.
  • Ebooks — full refund within 7 days, no questions asked.

Refund requests after 7 days will not normally be entertained, except where required by law.

03Eligibility

A refund is eligible if all of the following are true:

  • The request is made within 7 days of the original purchase date.
  • The product was purchased directly through structures-simplified.com via Razorpay (purchases through resellers or third parties are not covered by this policy).
  • For tools: there is no evidence of substantial use of the tool’s outputs in a real-world engineering deliverable.
  • The reason is a genuine product issue (the tool does not work in your STAAD setup, the ebook content does not match its description, etc.) or a simple change of mind within the window.

04How to request a refund

Send an email to parishith@structures-simplified.com with the following:

  • Subject: “Refund request — [Product name]”
  • Your Razorpay Payment ID (it appears in your purchase-confirmation email and on the thank-you page after a successful payment, e.g. pay_LxxxxxxxxxxxxX).
  • A brief reason for the refund.

We acknowledge within 48 hours on weekdays.

05Processing time

Once approved, refunds are issued via Razorpay to your original payment source (card, UPI, or bank account). Real-world timelines:

Day 0
You email the request. We acknowledge within 48 hours on weekdays.
Day 1–3
Approval & refund initiated via Razorpay. We review and, if eligible, trigger the refund through the Razorpay dashboard.
Day 3–14
Funds appear in your account. Razorpay’s typical processing time is 5–10 business days. Banks may take additional time depending on their internal cycles.

Total time from approval to credit appearing on your statement is typically 7–14 business days. We do not control bank-side timelines.

06Partial refunds

A partial refund may be offered at our discretion in cases where you have used a portion of a product but encountered an issue that prevented full use. These cases are decided individually based on the circumstances.

07Non-refundable items

The following are non-refundable except where required by law:

  • Refund requests made after the 7-day window.
  • Custom-tooling work (separately quoted, scoped, and invoiced — subject to the terms of that engagement).
  • Training enrolments — these are governed by the terms of codingforcivilengineers.com, not this policy.
  • Refund requests where evidence shows the tool’s outputs have been used in a real engineering deliverable.

08Cancellation

All products on the Site are digital and delivered immediately upon successful payment — via the thank-you page (which shows the download link) and via email. Because there is no time gap between payment and delivery, traditional cancellation (cancelling before delivery) is not applicable.

If you wish to undo a purchase made in error, please request a refund (Section 4).

09Chargebacks & disputes

Before initiating a chargeback or dispute through your bank or card network, please contact us first. We are committed to resolving issues quickly and almost every concern can be addressed by direct email.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may delay resolution and may, in cases of a successful chargeback, result in revocation of your license to the product (Section 11 of the Terms & Conditions).
